Here is the transcript of a thank you note we received from Jennifer, a librarian at Big Muddy CC.
I am back on grounds here at BMRCC, and I wanted to thank you again for a wonderful, wonderful day! The opportunity to be in the presence of fellow book lovers was a joy, and the excitement among the inmates upon arriving back here was palpable! I can’t wait to add the books to our collection, and to distribute them to the patrons and the children’s books to the visiting room. I really appreciate the fact that there were so many volunteers there to gather from the great selection of organized books. I was also very successful at the 3Rs location as well. All totaled, there were seventeen boxes of books. Ironically, that is the exact number of boxes of books that we collected last time. The puppets were wonderful, and I appreciated the opportunity to see them. Artistic creativity, like a book, is meant to be shared, and what better place to experience both than at a library! When dark skies roll in, I will look back at this day of sunshine, and it will give me much comfort. I am asking the men who use the library to express their thanks, and I will send their written thank you letters to you, if that is okay. I already asked, and my boss approved of me doing this, so long as it is okay with you. I will forward them to you as director, in care of the library’s address, if that is appropriate. Again, I thank you for the difference that you are making in the lives of others, in your local community, and to those of us in your extended community! Jenny L. Wilson Librarian, 1 Big Muddy River Correctional Center
